Terms & Conditions of Sales

1. SEO: Google’s algorithms change all the time, as such, your ranking will fluctuate. We therefore cannot guarantee any specific search engine rankings, listings on search engines or directories listings at anytime. We do not manipulate or control search engine results. Also, due to ever-changing search engine algorithms, the process of ranking can take anywhere from a few months to a year before showing any significant results.
2. The source code and the system used by ECAT in its final developed stage will be regarded as the exclusive intellectual property of ECAT. This intellectual property will include any on-line system and/or windows application developed by and owned by ECAT, requiring normally but not exclusively any of the following technologies: Javascript, MySQL, MSSQL, Ajax, xsl stylesheet, Razor Technology, .NET and any other source code running on the server side & on the client browser.
3. The Client indemnifies the E-CAT against all loss, damage or legal costs whatsoever arising from any claims or actions against the Client, directly or indirectly arising from any act or omission on the part of E-CAT or any persons for whom E-CAT is responsible. The Client also. indemnifies E-CAT against all loss, damage or legal costs whatsoever arising from the termination or discontinuation of the service provided by ECAT.
4. This Service Agreement will continue to be binding on both Parties to this Service Agreement, until such time as any of the Parties provides a written two (2) month notice to the other Party, in which case this Service Agreement will be terminated within a period of two (2) months from the date of the written notice i.e. this Service Agreement will be binding on both Parties for an additional period of two (2) months from the date of the written notice.
5. An annual escalation rate of six percent (6%) will apply automatically on the anniversary date of this contract.

Our Hourly Rates

Here below our hourly rates for any work done outside the above scope.

1. R650 per hour Design / Website Development Any work that require high level coding. Normally done in Javascript / database language or in a server side language. e.g: .NET
2. R350 per hour / Website Maintenance Website maintenance is the work done by any of our expert that do coding in HTML & CSS format. It can be referred as the front end of any online solutions.
3. R250 per hour / Non-creative, low skill, laborious tasks You can do it, but don’t have the time or inclination to do so. Sourcing stock pics, re-sizing photos, pages in Power. Point, file conversions and other menial tasks still have to be billed for, but obviously at “rent-a-student” rates.
4. NOTE We are not using WordPress / Drupal / Magento or any other pre-defined system. Because of the stringent requirements from some of our international clients. We’ve built over the years an in-house system that has been approved both locally & internationally. The primary focus of our development from the start was to build a secured system but also to offer a highly performant system in term of loading speed, database access, ease of navigation & seo optimisation. After over 20 years, we are now servicing over 100 happy clients in South Africa and growing every strongly.
